26 funded productions and „Drama Series Days“ at the 2016 Berlinale

21|01|2016 2015 saw the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW operating now in its fifth year as a funder and location agency for the film and media region of NRW. Oscar nomination for the Filmstiftung-backed debut „Mustang“

14|01|2016 „Mustang“, the Filmstiftung-backed debut by the Turkish director Deniz Gamze Ergüven, has been nominated for the Oscars in the Best Foreign Language Film category. This has just been announced by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The film was submitted by France. [more]

Jella Haase is European Shooting Star

16|12|2015 The European Film Promotion (EFP) announced the names of the 10 young European acting talents who are to be honored as European Shooting Stars 2016 at the Berlinale. The German actress Jella Haase was selected as one of Europe's best talents. The selection was made in Hamburg by an international jury. [more]


European Film Awards for „A pigeon“ and „Mustang“

13|12|2015 Two productions supported by the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW received a European Film Award. „A pigeon sat on a branch, reflecting on existence“ by Roy Andersson was honoured as European Comedy 2015. „Mustang“ by Deniz Gamze Ergüven received the European Discovery – Prix FIPRESCI. [more]
